    • Big five safari Kenya: Day to day program

    • Day 1 Home– Nairobi
      Upon your arrival at the airport exchange your currency to Kenya shillings followed by a transfer to the Boulevard Hotel. Short briefing with a welcome drink, with overnight on bed and breakfast. 

      Day 2:- Nairobi –Masai Mara Game Reserve
      After an early breakfast, head for one of the highlights of your Kenya safari, Kenya's most famous reserve the unsurpassed Masai Mara,Driving past the Masai trading town of Narok, with their colourful red shukas (clothing) though photographing them is not advised by the guide do not take offence. Arrive for lunch at your destination of the day, Mara Sentrim Camp. After check in and lunch, take time to relax followed by 16.00hrs afternoon game drive in search of wild animals, back to the camp for a drink and enjoy the sunset., dinner and overnight at Mara Sentrim Camp

      Day 3:- Masai Mara Game Reserve
      Depart after breakfast for a full day in Masai mara where wildebeest, topi , zebra and Thomson’s gazelle migrate and occupy the Mara reserve, from the Serengeti plains to the north-east, from July to October or later. Herds of all three species are also resident in the reserve and all members of the "Big Five" (Lion, Leopard , African Elephant, African Buffalo and black rhinoceros) are found in the Masai Mara. Besides all these different wildlife species also Hippopotami and Bile crocodiles are found in large groups in the Mara and Talek rivers. Other interesting species are the  hyenas, cheetahs, jackals and bat-eared foxes can also be found in the reserve. The plains between the Mara River and the Siria Escarpment are probably the best area for game viewing in particular regarding lion and cheetah. Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Sentrim Camp

      DAY 4: Masai Mara Game Reserve- Lake Naivasha
      An early game drives and back for breakfast and depart for Lake Naivasha arriving in for lunch at Carnelleys camp. Afternoon boat trip on this beautiful lake. While enjoying sunset on this wide lake the view of many different birdlife and Hippo's make it a remarkable time. After the boat trip back to de logde for dinner and overnight at Camp Carnelleys.

      Day 5: Naivasha – Hells Gate National Park
      After breakfasts depart for an excursion to the hell's Gate National Park walking or cycling (rental bicycles is Excl.) There is variety of wildlife in the national park, though many are few in number. Wildlife include African Buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson's gazelle, hyena and baboons are also common. The park is also home to several and small numbers of klipspringer antelope and Chanler's mountain reedbuck however, the park has historically been an important home for the rare lammergeyer vultures and  are over 103 species of birds are found inside the park. While you enjoy your time inside this beautiful National Park the guide follows from a distance in case you tire of walking or cycling. At the middle of the park there is Njorowa gorge which is normally walked with a ranger to the hot springs * good walking shoes recommended. Depart from the park later in the afternoon for high Tea at Elsmere. Dinner and overnight at Camp Carnelleys.

      DAY 6: Naivasha- lake Nakuru National Park
      After breakfast, departure for Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its pink flamingos and pelicans. The game drives are conducted around the lake, through dense acacia forests interspersed with grasslands with a rich of wildlife: impala, buffalo, waterbuck and Rothschild Giraffe. Check in for lunch at the Nakuru Lodge,   situated on the slopes of a hill, with a view of the park and the lake .Wildlife surrounds the lodge, afternoon free followed by 15.00hrs game drive in search of game via the spectacular baboon Cliff for panorama view of the lake and the park. Depart from the park later in the afternoon for dinner and overnight at Maili Saba Camp. The camp is situated on the ridge of the dormant Menengai Crater volcano with a beautiful view over the crater.

      Day 7: Nakuru Park – Samburu Game Reserve
      Depart from Nakuru Passing through Thomson Falls in Nyahururu, to the semi desert north of Kenya passing the town of Isiolo to Samburu County ending in Samburu reserve.  Samburu Sopa Lodge situated on a hill with a beautiful view of the park. The cottages are built in round shapes, resembling the Samburu huts, Samburu national reserve derives its name from the Samburu tribe. The Uaso Nyiro River cuts through this reserve, drawing a big population of animals to the park, the river bustles with activity from its huge population of Nile crocodile. The reserve's topography is mainly open savannah (grassland) with clusters of acacia trees, forest, thorn trees and grassland vegetation. Samburu National Reserve was one of the two areas in which conservationists George and Joy Adamson raised Elsa the Lioness. Their story was made famous by the bestselling book and award-winning movie "Born Free". The open restaurant looks on a watering hole; animals including lions come to drink! After lunch relax by the pool and at four o’clock game drive in search of the big five, dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa

      Day 8: Samburu-Buffalo Springs Reserve
      After an early Cup of tea (06.30hrs) game drive in Samburu and Buffalo Springs, in such of the rare Grevy's zebra, gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich are animals only to be seen in this area. Other cats are also to be spotted, later for breakfast at the lodge while the day is spent  cooling by the pool with lunch and afternoon at leisure.16.00hrs game drive follow, dinner and overnight at  Samburu Sopa Lodge.

      Day 9: Samburu- Mt. Kenya
      06.30hrs games drives, back for breakfast and depart for Mount Kenya, arriving in for lunch at Castle Forest. Castle Forest Lodge is an old colonial House located in Mt. Kenya forest with wonderful view of the lower land and accommodation in Bandas. Castle forest is known for walking and hiking the slopes of Mt.Kenya with guides at 2100 meters altitude. Herds of elephants at night roam around the lodge and also in surrounding forests. On a clear day, you can view the snow peaks of Mount Kenya and also during the walk see the many waterfalls with crystal clear streams, all meals and overnight at Castle Forest lodge

      Day 10: Mount Kenya
      After breakfast, full day with picnic lunch or half day hike on the slopes of Mount Kenya with a ranger and a guide. The less sporty, can enjoy the short walks or rent fishing equipment or horse riding, while the endurances walkers can take the long walks. Monkeys, exotic birds, bush bucks, antelopes, elephants and buffalos are to be spotted. Afternoon back to the Lodge and enjoy a drink at the bar winding down your safari adventure of the day. Hot meals are served in the cosy dining room with overnight stay at Castle Forest Lodge.

      Day 11: Mt. Kenya -Nairobi – Flight Home or to another destination
      Breakfast with an easy and relaxing morning, check-out for a drive back to Nairobi arriving  in the afternoon, and depending with your flight ,transfer to a hotel for a drink, or straight  to the airport, in time for check-in for your return flight home or other destination.
